Early Days groups give you the opportunity to explore different approaches to important parenting issues with a qualified group leader and other new parents in your area.
These sessions are designed to help you feel confident about the decisions and choices that you make for your baby. You will be encouraged to share ideas and experiences and help others to do the same so that you can support each other as you learn more about your skills as a parent.
They are usually attended by women and offer a space in which to explore the adjustment to becoming a parent and all that it means. As a group you will discuss practical skills in coping with a new baby but much more important the course will help you find your feet as a mother and help give you the confidence to parent your baby in the way that you feel is right for you and your family.
The course is run over six weeks, each session lasting two hours. As these are newborn classes they are usually held during the day and can be attended from when your baby is around 2 weeks to 6 months old.
"This course was the turning point for me after baby, helping me to build a new baby-friendly social life and providing some much needed support and perspective when I most needed it.” - new mum
